Is your make-up tested on animals?
No, Helen É has a strict policy regarding animal testing and none of our products or the ingredients in them are tested on animals.
Can I buy your products from anywhere else other than through your web site?
Yes, we retail our products and have concessions at selected stores around the country including some branches of Debenhams. We also demonstrate our products at selected exhibitions and shopping centres, most notably the BBC's Clothes Show Live at the National Exhibition Centre.
Our products can also be purchased using our mail order brochure. If you would like to receive our mail order brochure or information on when and where we might next be in your area, e-mail us at contact@helen-e.com.
Do products contain Lanolin?
None of our products contain Lanolin with the exception of some of our lip colours. The ingredients in our lipsticks varies from colour to colour and these may contain lanolin. A full list of ingredients can be found on the back of our compacts or by clicking on this link: Product ingredients.
Is Helen É new?
We have been producing the range since 1999, starting with our hugely successful Bronzer and introducing our beautiful skin smoother palette and more recently our Nubian Beauty range. We will continue to add new formulas and products to keep up with our advances in beauty care technology.
Is Helen É good for sensitive skin?
Usually the main irritant in make-up is fragrance, subsequently all Helen É products are fragrance free. All of our other ingredients have been formulated to be as gentle on sensitive skin as possible.
You say Skin Smoother is good for all skin types, why?
Skin Smoother is formulated to retain it's natural moisture without feeling oily and heavy and has a similar consistency to a tinted moisturiser. It is also formulated to sit extremely well on oily skin, so you can use it easily whatever skin type you have. If you have mature skin, it has a fine, soft, lightweight texture so it won't accentuate wrinkles. Also ideal for dry skin due to its unique moisturising properties helping the skin to stay smooth looking and supple.
How does Skin Smoother suit all skin tones?
Firstly we recognise that different women need different make-up, that's why we have Bronzer and Diva for women of colour.
This is a revolutionary approach unique to Helen É. Also the way it is formulated means that it's ultra fine particles allow your natural colour to show through without producing a heavy blanket coverage like some make-ups. Helen É Skin Smoothers still provide colour and tone but combines this with YOUR natural colour and tone.
Do I need to apply moisturiser beforehand?
It is a good idea as it keeps the skin nourished and prevents dryness. Apply it a few minutes prior to using your make-up to help it glide on and give a beautiful smooth finish.
Do I need to apply Helen É Skin Smoother with a wet sponge?
No, we apply it with a dry sponge. You can wet the sponge if you wish, but it works perfectly either way.
How long will the compacts last?
Everyone uses the make-up differently, however the Bronzer and Diva compacts should last you between twelve and eighteen months and the Cream foundation around four to five months.
Can I return your products if I am not happy?
For hygiene reasons we are not able to give refunds on any of our products if they have been used. However, if the products have not been used or damaged and if they are returned to us in the original sealed packaging, we will offer you either a refund or a replacement of the product as we deem appropriate. Any products which are purchased at our concessions in department stores (such as Debenhams) must be returned directly to that particular department store and not to ourselves. Each department store will apply its own internal policy concerning the return of products purchased therein.” |
